Marion County Fair hosts “Halfway to Christmas Eve” celebration
INDIANAPOLIS – Sunday, June 24 is the last day of the Marion County Fair as well as the Halfway to Christmas Eve celebration.
From 1 to 5 p.m. at the fairgrounds there will be a Halfway to Christmas Eve extravaganza, featuring Santas walking around the fair and greeting the guests!
Later that evening the Indianapolis Municipal Band will be performing on the Park Stage from 3 to 4 p.m., the Apple Pie Contest will be held at 3 p.m., and at 4 p.m. the 4-H closing ceremonies will commence.
The celebration will be held at the Marion County Fairgrounds, 7300 East Troy Avenue, located just east of I-465 & Southeastern Avenue interchange. Gates open at 5 p.m. on weekdays and 12 noon on weekends. General Admission to the grounds is $5 per person; children 5 and under are free, military members with a valid ID are free, and parking is free in convenient fairground lots.
