Cutest Baby Contest

Do you think you have the cutest baby in Marion County? We’ll let our judges decide!

Join us on the Park Stage for our beloved Cutest Baby Contest—a fun and heartwarming tradition that celebrates the newest and most adorable members of our community. Babies and toddlers from across Marion County will take the spotlight as a panel of community judges scores each contestant on their charm, personality, and cuteness. Winners will be announced the same day, along with ribbons, prizes, and bragging rights as Marion County’s Cutest Baby!

Spectators are welcome and free to cheer on all the contestants from the Park Stage. Don’t miss your little one’s big debut—we can’t wait to meet them!

Who can enter? This contest is open to Marion County babies 0-24 months old—valid copy of child’s birth certificate is required. Parents MUST be Marion County residents. Children will be split into the following age groups, based on their age on the day of the contest:

  • 0-3 months
  • 3-6 months
  • 6-9 months
  • 9-12 months
  • 12-18 months
  • 18-24 months

Guidelines: Each child may be entered in one class only, and children must be supervised at all times. Children will be judged on personality, actions, and appearance. This is NOT a costume contest, and we ask that children be dressed accordingly—please keep outfits simple.

Prizes: Prizes will be awarded to the first-place winner of each age group. First place in each class will be re-judged for Cutest Baby Overall and Runner Up Cutest Baby. The contest will be limited to the first 20 boy AND girl entries in each age group received by 5pm EST on July 11th, 2026.

It is agreed that the Marion County Fair assumes no liability for loss of property or by reason of any claim for personal injury, including death. The parent or guardian herein releases and discharges the Marion County Fair, its component members and their successors from liability by reason of injury to property, and/or persons, including death, which may occur within or upon the Marion County Fairgrounds in any manner connected with use thereof by this child who is named above as a contestant.

The contestant and the parent or guardian agrees to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the Marion County Fair and its agents, officers, and employees from all claims and suits including court costs, attorney’s fees, and other expenses caused jointly or solely by an act of omission of the contestant or parent or guardian.
