Winter Storage

IMPORTANT: Please read this entire page carefully before submitting your winter storage form to ensure you understand the process, pricing, requirements, and any restrictions.

General Information

Reservations will be established upon receiving your non-refundable $50.00 deposit AND proof of insurance (the declaration page) on the item(s) being stored.  This fee is per rental space being reserved (i.e., 1 reservation = $50.00; 2 reservations = $100.00, etc.)

The amount paid as a deposit will be deducted from your total rental fee.  The remainder of your fee will be due when your property is received.

Phone reservations will not be accepted.

Mail the completed information sheet and your certificate of insurance along with your deposit (check or money order made payable to Marion County Fair) per unit reservation fee to:

Payment is due upon receipt of property with no exceptions.  Final payment of balance due may be made in cash, check, or charge.  Credit card payments will only be accepted on the day you deliver your item.  A 5% transaction fee will be charged on all credit card payments.

There will not be an acknowledgement of receipt of your deposit and reservation form; however, you may phone the office if you wish to verify your reservation.

Over the last several years, our rental areas have filled quickly and there has been a waiting list. We encourage you to mail your reservation form, deposit, and insurance declaration page as soon as possible.

Any property left on the fairgrounds without a signed contract and full payment will remain outside until the contract is signed and payment is received. The Marion County Fair accepts NO liability for any property left without authorization.

Property Drop Off

Monday, October 28 — Saturday, November 2

  • MON-FRI 9am — 4pm
  • SATURDAY 9am — noon

PLEASE NOTE: November 2 is the LAST DAY to receive property. The fairgrounds will be closed after and no property will be accepted. 

Class A space is a building with a concrete floor; the charge is $450.00 for the first 20 feet with an additional $10.00 per foot over 20 feet.

Please make sure there is a minimal amount of gas in the gas tank of your property when it is dropped off. ALSO, please lower any poles, tops, etc., if possible, to enable your property to be more easily and safely stored.

Remember, final payment is DUE when property is dropped off for storage.

Property is measured upon arrival for storage – from trailer hitch to end of motor. Sailboats are measured to the longest points—RVs, campers, etc. are measured to longest points.

Insurance is the responsibility of the owner of the property being stored. You must supply us with a copy of your insurance coverage (declaration page) for the item being stored. The Marion County Fair assumes no liability for loss to property.

In inclement weather, please call the office prior to bringing your property to the fairgrounds just to ensure that we will be able to receive your property.

Measurements are based on the maximum linear feet the object requires for rental space, i.e., carrying trailers & hitches extending beyond either end of the object shall be a part of the measurement. Fractions of a foot shall be rounded up to the next full foot (example: 22 ft. 2 in = 23 feet)

Terms & Conditions

PAYMENT FEES & TERMS

  • Measurements will be based upon the maximum linear feet the object requires for rental space, i.e., carrying trailers and hitches extending beyond either end of the object carried shall be a part of the footage measurement. Fractions of a foot in measurement shall be rounded up to the next full foot, i.e., 22 ft. 2 in = 23 feet
  • Full payment is to be made at the time the property is received. An additional fee of $45.00 will be charged for any returned checks.  Payment may be made in cash, check, or charge card.  There will be an additional fee of 5% per credit card transaction.
  • A fee of $250.00 will be charged for removal of property before the end of the storage space. There will be a $250.00 charge to pre-arrange early removal.  The fairgrounds would need at minimum 48 hours’ advance notice of such removal.  Once the property is pulled from the storage space, there will be a $50.00 charge to re-enter the storage area.
  • Access to property during storage time will be during normal business hours of the fairgrounds and a $75.00 fee will be assessed.
  • The Marion County Fair does not provide additional security during storage time; however, our normal building security is still in place.
  • Keys to vehicles MUST be left on the grounds in case of any natural disaster that would require moving property.
  • The Marion County Fair does not take custody or control of the property being stored during storage time, nor does the Marion County Fair provide any clean-up services or other services.

PROPERTY PICKUP

You may begin to pick up your property on March 31st, 2025 during the following times:

  • Monday thru Friday 9:00am – 4:00pm
  • Saturday: 9:00 am – Noon

NOTE: Gates will be locked outside of times listed above.

Removal of the property from its storage space will begin the MONDAY prior to the assigned pick-up dates and property will remain outside until picked up.
